Aditya Education & Charitable Trust (AECT)

A non-profit social enterprise committed to people-centered development strategy, sustainable human development, environmental protection, basic education, poverty eradication, resettlement and rehabilitation, capacity building and training, advocating the social, economic, legal, psychology and health aspects, women empowerment, productive skill-based employment and social integration. Over the years, AECT has added new skills to its array of services such as social marketing and social research. We have implemented different types of projects in various cities of Gujarat State. Aditya Education & Charitable Trust is registered under public charitable trust act in the year of 2004.

Our Projects

“KUPOSHAN” AWARENESS PROGRAM

AECT had also conducted “Kuposhan” awareness program for Surendranagar municipal corporation Surendranagar, (Gujarat), Pregnant women’s vaccines awareness program, programs run by ICDS like one to one home visit, school seminar, distribution of IEC materials for awareness and wall writing. We were monitoring agency for such programmes by Surendranagar municipal corporation.

“PM Svanidhi” Impact Assessment

AECT had also conducted “PM Svanidhi” Scheme Impact Assessment in Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation. To assess the social and economic impact of the scheme on all the beneficiaries who have benefited from the PAM Swanidhi scheme.

Capacity Building Workshop for Members of Advantage India

AECT had organized Capacity Building, Women Empowerment and Self-Employment Workshop for women living in Surendranagar city and its surrounding villages like Dudharej, Ratanpar, Joravarnagar in collaboration with Advantage India and Horticulture Department of Government of Gujarat. 35 Women had been trained for How to run ‘Gruh Udyog’, how to prepare pickles, synthetic Sharbat, natural Sharbat, how to pack them etc..

health and Awareness

AECT had worked for HIV/AIDS Awareness and prevention and conducted outreach and awareness programmes in different cities of Gujarat state. Under this programme we have conducted, condom promotion, STI Treatment, free health camp, needs assessment based health service and counselling on STI’s. AECT had worked for different categories for this programme like commercial sex workers, gays, Truckers, auto driver, Shopkeepers, village community people and migrant worker.

Programme on Non Communicable Diseases

Patients of non-communicable diseases are on the rise in India, particularly in Gujarat. Taking this into account, awareness camps were organised in Sudamada, Khamiyana, Karangadh, and Khodu villages of Surendranagar district under N.C.D. (noncommunicable diseases) cell. We have provided information to peoples of above said villages on how to prevent and what care should be taken to avoid non-communicable diseases like cancer, diabetes, heart attack, blood pressure, stroke etc.

PMAY

AECT is working for PMAY Scheme with Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority and Gandhinagar Urban Development Authority. In this Scheme our work is all PMAY beneficiaries aware for this scheme, Their Society Registration work which build AUDA and GUDA. PMAY beneficiaries give Training for administration, Accounting and audit.

Skill Training for Girls and Women

AECT had conducted skill Training for girls and women. In this skill training are Basic Tailor, Hand Embroidery, Beauty Parlour, Fashion Designer, Sampling Tailor etc About 200 women trained in our organization.

work with SHG Group

AECT had conducted SHG group women training for Gruh Udyog like Khakhra, Panipuri, Papad Athana etc. and start-ups the business.

Capacity Building Workshop for Members of Gaytri Parivar Trust

AECT had conducted Documentation and Capacity Building Workshop at Surendranagar for the members of Gaytri Parivar Trust. 32 members had participated from Surendranagar and Gandhinagar.

Vedic Mathematics Project

Our Goal is to equip the children of Government Schools of Gandhinagardistrict with the knowledge of Vedic Mathematics and make them capable of using the science in their day to day life.

Target Audience: School children studying in 7th & 8th Std. in Government schools of Gandhinagar District (about 186 Schools and about 12000 Students).
